On Sunday, Mike and Brett took Linda to London to show her the sights. They left at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday and returned to the house around 7 p.m. Sunday night. Needless to say, they looked zapped when they returned so everyone went to bed early.
With Sports Day being postponed from Friday to Monday due to questionable weather, we prayed all weekend that the weather would be nice for the event. When Monday arrived, we were very pleasantly surprised that the weather was beautiful -- sunny and fairly warm. ;o) We arrived at the school early to select our spots on the football field and were ready to watch some action. The school children were broken down into four teams -- yellow (Brett's team color), red, blue, and green. All of the children from Reception to Year 6 participated in a variety of events. Brett participated in five events throughout the afternoon. He did very well in all of them -- and as you can see from the bottom photo, he was very proudly displaying one of the several stickers he received from placing in the events. Great job, Brett -- we are very proud of you!
Today, Linda was able to watch the girls participate in their Gymmies class and then after lunch we headed to Elton School to attend the Year 6 Leaver's Service. This is a church service that is held at the All Saints Church right next to Elton School at the end of every year. The service provides a good message to everyone (children and adults) and then all of the children are wished a safe and healthy summer holiday and everyone has the opportunity to wish the Year 6 children well as they move on to another school and a new chapter in their life. It is very hard to believe that as of 3:15 p.m. today, Brett is now is Year 3!
Tomorrow morning, we are leaving for Paris for several days. We'll be back on Sunday afternoon -- so I'll post photos upon our return. Have a wonderful week/weekend! ;o)

I think it is so cool how sport's day is watched by so many parents over here; it is a social & family event. I enjoy it. Brett looks so cute & proud!!!! Safe travels to you guys!
