Father's Day 2009

This year, with us living back in the U.S., we were able to get back into spending Father's Day with our dads. We had a cookout on Sunday and were lucky enough that just about everyone was able to join us. This was the first actual day we swam in the pool (as you will see from the pictures, only the Papas and the kids were in the pool at first ... and then just about everyone decided to get in in an attempt to cool off). I think we forgot how HOT and HUMID it gets in Illinois during the summer months -- whoa! I know I complained quite a bit in England as we really didn't have too many warm/hot days -- so it didn't really feel like we had an actual summer over there; however it seems that the weather we've been having here is definitely making up for what we missed. ;o)

We are blessed to have wonderful parents who care for us and support us so much. We love you!

We really should've taken pictures with all of the dads prior to swimming but didn't think of it at the time. Can't believe I'm posting a pic of me in a swimsuit but it is the only one I have with my dad. Mike would kill me if I posted the one of him in his swimtrunks with his dad -- so I'll be nice and won't post it for all to see. ;o)
